Regular Season Round 4: United - Kings 96-82

NBL top team - United (7-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Kings (2-5) in Melbourne 96-82. The game was mostly controlled by United. Kings was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) fired 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (200-91) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. United's coach Dean Demopoulos used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Marcus Thornton (193-93, college: William & Mary) produced 29 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. United have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Kings at the other side keep the seventh place with five games lost. United's next round opponent will be New Zealand Breakers (#4) in Auckland. Kings will play on the road against Adelaide 36ers in Findon and hope to win that game.
