Regular Season Round 1: North Control B. - Jilin NE T. 88-105

North Control was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Changchun 105-88 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Jilin Tigers. North Control was better in third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jilin Tigers made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game, while North Control only scored nine points from the stripe. They outrebounded North Control 44-28 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. North Control was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American swingman Marcus Williams (200-86, college: Arizona, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Center Ang Lee (208-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Center Zhongda He (203-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and forward Liang Yu (209-86) added 18 points in the effort for North Control. North Control's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Jilin Tigers will face Beijing Ducks (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. North Control will play against TianJin Steel in Tianjin and hope to win that game.
