The game with biggest result difference took place in Alicante. Local Meridiano Alicante (4-1) outscored 6th ranked Marin (2-3) 83-64 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Marin. The game without a history. Meridiano Alicante led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was point guard Javier Hernandez (182-92) who scored 15 points. Cameroonian center Johan Kody (207-93) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Meridiano Alicante players scored in double figures. American forward Javonte Green (193-93, college: Radford) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Gabe Rogers (188-90, college: N.Arizona) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Meridiano Alicante moved-up to second place, which they share with Granada and Moron. Loser Marin keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Meridiano Alicante will face El Olivar (#13) in Zaragoza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Marin will play at home against CB Tarragona 2017 (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
