Regular Season Round 4: Iberostar Tener. - Estudiantes 73-75

Asefa Estudiantes has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Tenerife, where they edged CB Canarias (0-4) 75-73. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 11-point deficit before their 23-10 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for point guard Dario Brizuela (196-94) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 steals (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). Guard Jaime Fernandez (186-93) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Xavier Rey (210-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Argentinian-Italian point guard Nicolas Richotti (183-86) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for CB Canarias. Four CB Canarias players scored in double figures. Asefa Estudiantes (1-3) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. It was CB Canarias' fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Asefa Estudiantes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid Real Madrid.
