Bottom-ranked Peli-Karhut (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 75-65 loss to fourth ranked ViVe (4-2) in Kotka on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-65. American forward Alexyz Vaioletama (185-93, college: USC) had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) chipped in 25 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Dominique Mosley (182, college: Missouri So.) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Roosa Lehtoranta (176-97) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. ViVe moved-up to third place. Loser Peli-Karhut still closes the standings with five games lost. ViVe will meet at home HyPo (#5) in the next round. Peli-Karhut will play against the league's second-placed Tapiolan Honka (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
