Extraliga top team - Good Angels (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Slovan (3-8) in Bratislava 90-28. The game without a history. Good Angels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Slovan to just 3 points in third quarter and to 13 points in first half. Good Angels held Slovan to an opponent 21.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 53.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Good Angels forced 29 Slovan turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Slovan's players. It was a quality performance for Czech center Romana Stehlikova (189-85) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International power forward Zofia Hruscakova (190-95) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Good Angels players scored in double figures. Guard Lena Slezarikova (175-93) came up with 7 points and center Zofia Zarevuckaa (190-95) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Slovan in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Good Angels. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Slovan lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with BAM Poprad. Good Angels will meet Samorin (#5) on the road in the next round. Slovan will play against Banska Bystrica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
