Regular Season Round 4: Elitzur Ashkelon - Ironi K-A 81-102

The most interesting game of round 4 was a home defeat of 5th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (2-2) by fourth ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (3-1) who outscored them by 21 points 102-81. Ironi Kiryat Ata dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Ironi Ashkelon's 46. Ironi Kiryat Ata looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and Tomer Ginat (202-94) who added 20 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Ironi Kiryat Ata's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and swingman Orr Leumi (192-96) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Five Ironi Kiryat Ata and four Ironi Ashkelon players scored in double figures. Ironi Kiryat Ata maintains fourth position with 3-1 record, which they share with Hapoel B/S. Ironi Ashkelon at the other side dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with Ironi Ramat Gan. Ironi Kiryat Ata is looking forward to face Hasharon (#11) in Ramat Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ironi Ashkelon will play on the road against Hasharon (#9) in Hod Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
