Regular Season Round 7: Shenyang - Xinjiang 85-94

An interesting game for Xinjiang (7-0) which played road game in Dandong against 3rd placed Shenyang Golden Lions (3-4). Leader Xinjiang managed to get a 9-point victory 94-85. The guests were ahead by 15 points but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 31-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Xinjiang especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. It was a great evening for guard Lee Wang (170-92) who led her team to a victory scoring 32 points. American center Tina Charles (193-88, college: Connecticut) helped adding 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side international swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and international forward Meng Li (185-95) scored 14 points and 8 assists. Four Xinjiang and five Shenyang Golden Lions players scored in double figures. Xinjiang have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Xinjiang maintains first place with 7-0 record. Shenyang Golden Lions at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Liaoning and Jiangsu. Xinjiang will play against league's second-placed Shanxi Rui Flame in Taiyuan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shenyang Golden Lions will play at home against Liaoning Hengye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
