Regular Season Round 3: Ayandeh Sazan - Chemidor 68-86

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tehran: Chemidor (#6) and Ayandeh Sazan (#9). Ayandeh Sazan was crushed at home by 18 points 68-86 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Chemidor outrebounded Ayandeh Sazan 42-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Farid Aslani (183-88) who scored 19 points and 8 assists. International Oshin Sahakian (200-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Iman Zandi (188-81) who recorded 25 points and 5 rebounds and Montenegrin-Serbian center Slavko Vranes (230-83, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Chemidor and four Ayandeh Sazan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chemidor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tehran Army.
