Regular Season Round 6: Pardaguava - Jugla 81-62

Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Riga: Pardaguava (#8) and Jugla (#9). Pardaguava (4-2) crushed visiting Jugla (1-5) by 19 points 81-62. The game was mostly controlled by Pardaguava. Jugla managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pardaguava forced 23 Jugla turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Power forward Daniels Minajevs (205-95) nailed 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Inguss Immers (194-93) accounted for 17 points. Pardaguava's coach let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Edvards Jasuks (195-97) came up with 17 points and forward Klavs Krastins (195-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Jugla in the defeat. Pardaguava moved-up to second place, which they share with Saldus. Jugla lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Buki/BJSS. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
