Regular Season Round 3: Denain - St Chamond 70-73

There was an upset when Denain Voltaire (2-1) was edged at home by Saint Chamond (1-2) 73-70 on Friday. Denain Voltaire cut a 16-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Saint Chamond forced 19 Denain Voltaire turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Dustin Salisbery (193-84, college: Temple) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman Austin Hollins (193-91, college: Minnesota) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Isaia Cordinier (194-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Denain Voltaire. Four Denain Voltaire players scored in double figures. Saint Chamond will face Poitiers (#15) on the road in the next round. Denain Voltaire will play against Le Portel (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
