Regular Season Round 3: Evreux - Poitiers 92-89

Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. ALM Evreux looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Poitiers was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-90, agency: Comsport) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) answered with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in the effort for Poitiers. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ALM Evreux will face Orchesien BC (#14) in Orchies in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Poitiers will play at home against Saint Chamond and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
