Regular Season Round 3: Bourg - St Quentin 66-64

A very close game took place in Bourg between JL Bourg and Saint-Quentin. JL Bourg (3-0) got a very close home victory over Saint-Quentin (0-3). JL Bourg managed to escape with a 2-point win 66-64 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 16-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Saint-Quentin outrebounded JL Bourg 40-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who led the winners and scored 20 points. Power forward Jerome Cazenobe (203-89) accounted for 6 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American swingman Ryan Evans (203-90, college: Wisconsin) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Meredis Houmounou (188-88) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Saint-Quentin in the defeat. JL Bourg will meet JA Vichy (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saint-Quentin will play against Nantes (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
