There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked GTK Gliwice (3-5) beat at home higher ranked Biofarm PZN (3-5) 61-52. The winners were led by power forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) who scored that evening 15 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Piotr Pluta (193-81, agency: Promotex) supported him with 14 points. Even 14 points by center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) did not help to save the game for Biofarm PZN. Forward Mateusz Brek (192-94) added 10 points for the guests. Biofarm PZN's coach Przemyslaw Szurek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. GTK Gliwice moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Biofarm PZN. GTK Gliwice's next round opponent will be higher ranked Legia W-wa (#5) in Warszawa and it may be quite challenging game.
