Regular Season Round 6: Cieszyn - AZS PS Gliwice 91-99

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked AZS PS Gliwice (3-2) beat on the road 6th ranked Cieszyn (3-3) 99-91 on Saturday. AZS PS Gliwice made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for center Piotr Krupa (204-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Adam Hajduk (190-83) replied with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (186-86) added 23 points in the effort for Cieszyn. Five AZS PS Gliwice and four Cieszyn players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS PS Gliwice moved-up to fifth place in Group C. Loser Cieszyn keeps the sixth position with three games lost. AZS PS Gliwice will face Pogon RS (#9) in Ruda Slaska in the next round. Cieszyn will play on the road against Wisla Krakow and hope to win that game.
