Regular Season Round 6: AZS PCz - Pogon RS 72-66

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Pogon RS (2-4) lost to fourth ranked AZS PCz (4-2) in Czestochowa 66-72 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. AZS PCz looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for forward Szymon Rynkiewicz (198-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-95) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Tomasz Stankala (202-91) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and center Adam Andula (201-87) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Pogon RS. AZS PCz moved-up to third place in Group C, which they share with Zaglebie. Pogon RS lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. AZS PCz will face AZS AWF M. II (#11) in Katowice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pogon RS will play on the road against AZS PS Gliwice and hope to win that game.
