The game in Anjo was also quite interesting. Leader JX-Eneos S. (7-0) played at the court of 8th ranked Aishin Wings (3-6). JX-Eneos S. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 80-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by JX-Eneos S.. Aishin Wings was better in third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aishin Wings 45-26 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Tanaka Masaki (171-88) with 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and the former international center Hiromi Hiromi (183-85) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for JX-Eneos S.. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Aishin Wings lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. JX-Eneos S. will have a break next round. Aishin Wings will play again at home against the league's leader JX-Eneos S. (#1) and hope to win that game.
