Regular Season Round 6: Alkar Sinj - Skrljevo 63-59
Date: November 7, 2015
There was no surprise when 10th ranked KK Skrljevo (1-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Alkar Sinj (4-1) 63-59 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 14-6 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Alkar Sinj dominated on the defensive end, holding KK Skrljevo to just 6 points in fourth quarter. The best player for the winners was guard Josip Glavinic (192-82) who scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Stjepan Tesija (206-89, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Roko Rogic (185-92) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Jasmin Perkovic (205-80) added 10 points and 8 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Alkar Sinj have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kvarner 2010 and GKK Sibenik. Newly promoted KK Skrljevo dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. Alkar Sinj will face Jolly (#6) in Sibenik in the next round.
