Regular Season Round 6: Gigantes - Halc.Rojos 64-67

Bottom-ranked Halcones Rojos managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they edged tenth-ranked Gigantes in Toluca 67-64. They outrebounded Gigantes 47-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was international forward Marco Ramos (198-87, college: Grand Canyon) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American Eder Zuniga (190-87, college: Carroll, MT) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Howard Crawford (205-88, college: UAB) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Halcones Rojos (2-4) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Santos and Indios. Gigantes lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. Halcones Rojos' next round opponent will be Ciudad (#8) in Ciudad Juarez. Gigantes will play on the road against Correcaminos in Ciudad Victoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
