Real Celta Vigo has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Oviedo, where they defeated Oviedo (1-5) 70-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 36-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Cristina Loureiro (183-94) scored 22 points to lead the charge for the winners and American-Nigerian guard Sarah Ogoke (175-90, college: So.Poly State) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Real Celta Vigo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Carolina Ramos (-93) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and center Marina Vilella (185-92) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Oviedo's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Real Celta Vigo left bottom position moving up to tenth place in Group A, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Oviedo. Real Celta Vigo will face ADBA (#14) in Aviles in the next round.
