Regular Season Round 6: Itago Gdynia - AZS PGd 52-78

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Itago Gdynia (2-3) was outscored at home by fourth ranked AZS PGd (4-2) 78-52 on Saturday. AZS PGd forced 22 Itago Gdynia turnovers. It was a good game for forward Aleksander Lebiedzinski (195-93) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Forward Marcin Olik (193-81) replied with 10 points and guard Maciej Gogola (188-81) added 6 points in the effort for Itago Gdynia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS PGd moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with AZS UMK Torun and Pelplin. Itago Gdynia lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. AZS PGd will face TKM Wloclawek (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Itago Gdynia will play against the league's leader Kotwica in Kolobrzeg and hope to win that game.
