There was a surprise result in Ishikawa where eighth ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (6-5) outleveled 4th placed Shiga L-Stars (6-3) 83-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kanazawa Samuraiz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Marshall Brown (200-85, college: Missouri) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Kanazawa Samuraiz players scored in double figures. Kanazawa Samuraiz's coach Yukinori Suzuki used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kejuan Johnson (193-85, college: Long Beach St., agency: Inception Sports) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Kanazawa Samuraiz have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls and Shimane SM. Loser Shiga L-Stars dropped to the third position with three games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz will face again higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
