Not a big story in a game in Mikawa where 11th ranked Hiroshima L. (1-9) was outplayed by second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (8-3) 101-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hiroshima L. to just 5 points in second quarter. Hamamatsu Phoenix made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Hiroshima L. turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamamatsu Phoenix have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-3 record behind leader Okinawa GK, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Hiroshima L. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will face again Hiroshima L. (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
