Regular Season Round 6: Avila - Getafe 59-58

Fourteenth-ranked Getafe (0-6) was very close to win a game against top-ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (6-0) in Avila on Saturday. Fontedoso Carrefour managed to secure only one-point victory 59-58. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Getafe won fourth quarter 16-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Getafe 47-29 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Getafe helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for point guard Carles Marzo (190-92, agency: Duran International) who saved his team from a defeat with 18 points. Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) contributed with 8 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American-Haitian forward Marvin Dominique (201, college: St.Peter's, agency: Duran International) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Uruguayan-Greek forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88, agency: Duran International) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Getafe. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fontedoso Carrefour have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Getafe at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour are looking forward to face Cambados (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Getafe will play against Marin (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
