Regular Season Round 5: 36ers - Kings 99-98

Important game to mention about took place in Findon. Fifth ranked Adelaide 36ers (4-4) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Kings (2-7) 99-98 on Saturday evening. Kings were ahead by 18 points after three quarters before a 32-13 charge of Adelaide 36ers, which allowed them to win the game. They made 29-of-38 charity shots (76.3 percent) during the game. Kings were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) nailed 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists for the winning side and the former international power forward Anthony Petrie (203-83) accounted for 23 points and 9 rebounds. Adelaide 36ers' coach Joey Wright allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Al Harrington (206-80) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the former international power forward Julian Khazzouh (209-86) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Kings in the defeat. Five Kings players scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers moved-up to third place, which they share with Hawks and Breakers. Kings lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Adelaide 36ers will again play against bottom-ranked Kings (#8) in Sydney in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kings will have a break next round.
