Bottom-ranked UL Huskies is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to fourth ranked 11890 Killester (4-2) 97-51 on Saturday evening. 11890 Killester forced 28 UL Huskies turnovers and outrebounded them 45-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. 11890 Killester looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by UL Huskies' players. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Raeshel Contreras (170, college: S.Dakota) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Guard Emma Sherwood (176-91) accounted for 11 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five 11890 Killester players scored in double figures. American guard Kelsey Harris (178, college: Elon) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Sarah Benedetti (178, college: St.Francis, NY) added 9 points respectively for UL Huskies in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. 11890 Killester moved-up to second place, which they share with TM Hotel Cork and WIT Wildcats. UL Huskies lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. 11890 Killester's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Dublin DCU Mercy.
