Mulhouse Basket (#9) forced the game against Rueil (#3) into an overtime, but lost by one point 81-82 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mulhouse Basket. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime then Mulhouse Basket managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Rueil who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-9. The winners were led by Senegalese center Moise Diame (205-86) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds and swingman Lamine Sambe (188-89) supported him with 23 points and 6 assists. Even 21 points and 5 assists by guard Jeremy Bichard (187-90) did not help to save the game for Mulhouse Basket. Guard Mathieu Bigote (190-84) added 23 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rueil (7-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Lourdes and Blois. Loser Mulhouse Basket keeps the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Angers BC. Rueil will meet UB Chartres (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mulhouse Basket will play against Vendee Challans (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
