Regular Season Round 9: Heilongjiang - Shenyang 73-83

Bottom-ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 83-73 loss to third ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (5-4) in Harbin. It looked good early as Heilongjiang Chenneng took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Shenyang Golden Lions had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Heilongjiang Chenneng was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-83. International swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) nailed 18 points and 5 assists for the winning side and international forward Meng Li (185-95) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists. American center Vicky McIntyre (201-92, college: ORU) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard YanYan Ji (182-85) added 20 points and 5 assists respectively for Heilongjiang Chenneng in the defeat. Five Shenyang Golden Lions and four Heilongjiang Chenneng players scored in double figures. Shenyang Golden Lions maintains third place with 5-4 record having just two points less than leader Xinjiang, which they share with 3 other teams. Heilongjiang Chenneng at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Shenyang Golden Lions' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Beijing Great Wall at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Heilongjiang Chenneng will play against Shanxi Rui Flame (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
