Regular Season Round 5: Rosa Radom - MKS DG 91-67

Rather expected game when 9th ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (2-3) was smashed by seventh ranked Rosa (4-2) in Radom 91-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rosa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rosa outrebounded MKS Dabrowa Gornicza 36-22 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points. Guard Daniel Szymkiewicz (193-94) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Rosa players scored in double figures. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (180-84, college: BYU, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 17 points and American-Bulgarian center Eric Williams (206-84, college: Wake Forest, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Rosa. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Asseco. Loser MKS Dabrowa Gornicza dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Rosa will have a break next round. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play at home against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
