PGE Turow (#14) forced the game against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (#12) into an overtime, but lost by three points 92-95 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 19-14 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. Strangely PGE Turow outrebounded Stal Ostrow Wlkp. 48-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. PGE Turow was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import DeShawn Delaney (196-92, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) added 23 points and 4 assists in the effort for PGE Turow. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (2-3) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with MKS DG. PGE Turow lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#10) on the road in the next round.
