Regular Season Round 3: Shandong FB - Sichuan BW 114-116

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Shandong Bulls (2-1) in Jinan. Hosts were edged by Sichuan BW (3-0) 116-114. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Shandong Bulls were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 22 rebounds. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) contributed with 28 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) added 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Shandong Bulls. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sichuan BW will play against Qingdao Eagles (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shandong Bulls will play against North Control (#11) in Beijing and hope to get back on the winning track.
