Regular Season Round 3: Foshan LL - Jilin NE T. 109-115

There was no surprise when Foshan (0-3) was defeated at home by Jilin Tigers (2-1) 115-109. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 9-point deficit before their 35-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Marcus Williams (200-86, college: Arizona, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Center Ang Lee (208-90) accounted for 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side. American guard Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and swingman Mingxin Ju (200-93) added 32 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Foshan in the defeat. Four Foshan players scored in double figures. Foshan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers' next round opponent will be Guandong Tigers (#8) in Dongguan. Foshan will play on the road against Bayi Rockets (#16) in Ningbo and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
