An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Eskilstuna. Top-ranked Hogsbo faced second-ranked Eskilstuna. Guests from Goteborg (9-0) defeated host Eskilstuna (6-2) 78-69. Eskilstuna trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 24-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 69-78 at the end of the game. Hogsbo made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Eskilstuna turnovers. Strangely Eskilstuna outrebounded Hogsbo 51-38 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Lucas Brehm (-91) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and American forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Hogsbo's coach Jonas Fredrikson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. British-Cameroonian forward Franck Kouagnia (201-89) responded with 28 points and 9 rebounds and forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hogsbo have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Newly promoted Hogsbo maintains first position with 9-0 record. Loser Eskilstuna dropped to the third place with two games lost. Hogsbo will meet at home league's second-placed IK Eos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Eskilstuna will play against Brahe Basket and hope to secure a win.
