Regular Season Round 8: Znicz Basket - Slask 2 Wroclaw 75-74

Thirteenth-ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (2-6) made lots of trouble for second ranked Znicz Basket (7-1) in Pruszkow. Znicz Basket managed to secure only one-point victory 75-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Znicz Basket outrebounded Slask 2 Wroclaw 36-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Slask 2 Wroclaw was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Filip Put (201-93) saved the victory by scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Damian Janiak (195-89) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Maksym Kulon (191-93) replied with 16 points and 4 assists and forward Filip Czyznielewski (198-91) added 14 points in the effort for Slask 2 Wroclaw. Four Slask 2 Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Znicz Basket maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader Krosno. Slask 2 Wroclaw lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Notec Inowr. and Nysa Klodzko. Znicz Basket will play against league's leader Krosno on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slask 2 Wroclaw will play against Spojnia (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
