Regular Season Round 6: Ullern - Ulriken 70-67

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Ulriken (5-2) in Oslo on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by top-ranked Ullern (4-0) 70-67. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ulriken won third quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ullern looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international guard Tina Moen (180-86, college: IPFW) who led her team to a victory with 27 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Jeanine Flaaten (168-85) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Spanish guard Angela Alvarez (168-91) replied with 16 points and 9 assists and Vilde Tveito (182-95) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ulriken. Ullern have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 4-0 record behind leader Ulriken. Ulriken at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Ullern are looking forward to face Gimle (#4) in Bergen in the next round. Ulriken will have a break next round.
