Regular Season Round 5: Maccabi H/H - Elitzur Ashkelon 136-102

Date: November 10, 2015
The game with biggest result difference took place in Hod Hasharon. Local Hasharon (2-3) outscored 7th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (2-3) 136-102 on Tuesday night. Hasharon shot 62.8 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 61.5 percentage. Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Ironi Ashkelon's players. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) who scored 40 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Guard Isaiah Sykes (198-91, college: Cent.Florida, agency: CGL Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Dominique Keller (205-88, college: Illinois) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) added 21 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hasharon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Ironi Ashkelon. Hasharon will face Maccabi Raanana (#8) at home in the next round.
