No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (4-1) smashed at home bottom-ranked Hasharon (1-4) 84-61 on Tuesday. Ironi Kiryat Ata forced 22 Hasharon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Tomer Ginat (202-94) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St., agency: HMS) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Ironi Kiryat Ata players scored in double figures. Center Moti Moscovitz (204-85) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Jamell Cornley (196-87, college: Penn St.) added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Kiryat Ata moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Hasharon dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Ironi Kiryat Ata will face Hapoel Kfar Saba (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hasharon will play against Ironi Ashkelon and hope to win that game.
