Regular Season Round 4: DongGuan L. - Fujian QB 96-116

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Fujian (2-2) outplayed on the road higher ranked DongGuan Leopards (2-1) 116-96 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Fujian. DongGuan Leopards was better in third quarter 31-30. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Fujian shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. DongGuan Leopards were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Lebanese swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) contributed with 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) replied with 25 points and 5 assists and international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for DongGuan Leopards. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Fujian moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser DongGuan Leopards dropped to the seventh position with one game lost. Fujian will face league's leader Liaoning Hunters in Yingkou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
