Regular Season Round 4: Shanghai S. - Liaoning H. 99-104

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Liaoning Hunters (4-0) beat on the road 9th ranked Shanghai Sharks (2-2) 104-99 on Wednesday. Shanghai Sharks were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Liaoning Hunters made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Shanghai Sharks were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The other American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. American point guard A.J. Price (188-86, college: Connecticut) replied with 39 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard XiaoYu Liu (191-89) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Shanghai Sharks. Shanghai Sharks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Liaoning Hunters have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sichuan BW and Xinjiang FT. Loser Shanghai Sharks dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Liaoning Hunters will face Fujian (#12) in Jinjiang in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shanghai Sharks will play at home against Foshan (#19) and hope to win that game.
