Regular Season Round 7: Chieti - Trieste 89-68
Date: November 11, 2015
There was an upset when higher ranked Trieste (3-4) was rolled over on the road by twelfth ranked Chieti (3-3) 89-68 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 51-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American forward Isaiah Armwood (206-90, college: G.Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Luigi Sergio (197-88) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Five Chieti players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: N.C.Central, agency: Two Points) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Bulgarian swingman Hristo Zahariev (197-90) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chieti moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Trieste keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Chieti will face Roseto (#9) on the road in the next round. Trieste will play against Bondi Ferrara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
