LEB Gold top team - Palencia Baloncesto (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked CB Prat (1-6) 85-52. The game without a history. Palencia Baloncesto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Palencia Baloncesto dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to CB Prat's 34. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American forward Michael Fakuade (201-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Daniel Perez (188-90) helped adding 11 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Five Palencia Baloncesto players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Jose Manuel Coego (205-78) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Alex Ros (193-83) scored 12 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Palencia Baloncesto have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Palencia Baloncesto maintains first place with 6-1 record. CB Prat lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with Forca Lleida and Coruna. Palencia Baloncesto is looking forward to face Cocinas.com (#12) in Logrono in the next round which should be another easy win for them. CB Prat will play on the road against Melilla Baloncesto (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
