Regular Season Round 7: Angelico BI - Agropoli 79-75

There was an upset when much higher ranked Agropoli (5-2) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Angelico Biella (2-5) 79-75 on Thursday. Agropoli was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-15 charge of Angelico Biella, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Agropoli turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-89, college: IU Southeast) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Simone Pierich (199-81) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American Terrence Roderick (196-88, college: UAB) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Canadian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Angelico Biella maintains fifteenth place in A2 with 2-5 record. Newly promoted Agropoli keeps the second position with two games lost. Angelico Biella will face Virtus Acea (#16) in Roma in the next round. Agropoli will play at home against the league's leader Scafati (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
