Regular Season Round 7: Ferrara - Aurora Bsk Jesi 82-61

Date: November 12, 2015
There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Bondi Ferrara (3-4) smashed at home higher ranked Aurora Bsk Jesi (3-4) 82-61 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Bondi Ferrara. Aurora Bsk Jesi was better in fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aurora Bsk Jesi 41-21 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bondi Ferrara looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Aurora Bsk Jesi's players. It was a great evening for Swedish-American Erik Rush (197-88, college: Montana St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward David Brkic (210-82, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side guard Marco Santiangeli (193-91) responded with 20 points and naturalized Senegalese guard Ousmane Gueye (192-82) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bondi Ferrara moved-up to eighth place in A2. Bondi Ferrara will face higher ranked Trieste (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aurora Bsk Jesi will play against the league's second-placed Mantovana (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
