Regular Season Round 5: Impuls BGUIR - Tsmoki II 77-63

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Minsk: Impuls BGUIR (#6) and Tsmoki II (#3). Impuls BGUIR (2-3) won against visiting Tsmoki II (3-2) 77-63. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Impuls BGUIR's pressure prevailed and they won that period 23-13 extending their advantage to 14 points. Impuls BGUIR forced 27 Tsmoki II turnovers. Forward Vlad Mikulskiy (188-98) nailed 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Genadziy Zahar (198-92) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds. Impuls BGUIR's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Maksim Lyutych (200-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Maksim Sazonau (202-96) added 14 points respectively for Tsmoki II in the defeat. Impuls BGUIR moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Vitebsk and BGEU-RCOR. Tsmoki II at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. Impuls BGUIR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tsmoki II will play on the road against the league's second-placed Grodno-93 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
