Rather expected game when 5th ranked Olimpi (2-3) was defeated on the road by second ranked Kutaisi (4-1) 71-64 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-64. Kutaisi outrebounded Olimpi 52-33 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Richard Matiashvili (207-89) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The former international Beka Bekauri (207-91) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Jeremy Bynum (193-88, college: Jacksonville St.) produced 25 points and 6 steals and international guard Revaz Rogava (191-93) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Kutaisi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-1 record having just -4 point less than leader MIA Academy, which they share with Batumi and Sokhumi.
