Rather expected game when 5th ranked Olimpi (2-3) was defeated on the road by second ranked Kutaisi (4-1) 71-64 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-64. Kutaisi outrebounded Olimpi 52-33 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Richard Matiashvili (207-89) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds.
