Important game to mention about took place in Rakvere. Eighth ranked BC Rakvere (1-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked TLU/Kalev (3-3) 74-72 on Friday evening. TLU/Kalev was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 22-13 third quarter run of BC Rakvere. They made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Latvian Roberts Stumbris (194-93) notched 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian swingman Maksim Kovacevic (196-87, agency: Alti Sport) supported him with 15 points. BC Rakvere's coach Andres Sober allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-92, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for TLU/Kalev. The former international point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) added 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four TLU/Kalev players scored in double figures. BC Rakvere left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with TTU. TLU/Kalev at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Valga. BC Rakvere will play against TTU (#8) in Tallinn in the next round. TLU/Kalev will play at home against Rapla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
