Rather expected game in Brest where bottom-ranked BrGU COR Victoria (0-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Victoria (3-5) 56-52 on Saturday. BrGU COR Victoria trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 19-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 52-56 at the end of the game. Victoria held BrGU COR Victoria to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.2 percent accuracy of the winners. It was a great evening for guard Palina Zielinskaya (173-98) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Yuliya Ruksha (164-98) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side swingman Diana Tolochko (177-96) responded with 9 points and 17 rebounds and guard Katsiaryna Shastsilouskaya (179-93) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Victoria maintains sixth place with 3-5 record. BrGU COR Victoria lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Victoria will face Gorizont II (#7) in Minsk in the next round. BrGU COR Victoria will play at home against RGUOR and hopes to get finally their first victory.
