Regular Season Round 7: Ksiezak Lowicz - Shmoolky W-wa 86-78

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ksiezak Lowicz as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group B. Ksiezak Lowicz defeated 5th ranked Shmoolky W-wa at home 86-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shmoolky W-wa. Ksiezak Lowicz made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game, while Shmoolky W-wa only scored eleven points from the stripe. Ksiezak Lowicz forced 22 Shmoolky W-wa turnovers. Strangely Shmoolky W-wa outrebounded Ksiezak Lowicz 40-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Shmoolky W-wa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 steals (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!). Forward Mariusz Wojcik (200-79) helped adding 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Mikolaj Motel (192-94) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and center Mariusz Przygucki (197-91) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Shmoolky W-wa players scored in double figures. Shmoolky W-wa's coach Tomasz Wakulski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ksiezak Lowicz (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Shmoolky W-wa keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Shmoolky W-wa will play next round against Ostrow Mazow. trying to get back on the winning streak. Ksiezak Lowicz will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Gimbasket PRZM in Przemysl.
