Everything went according to plan when top-ranked Cecina (8-0) outleveled on the road 15th ranked Torino (1-7) 85-49 on Saturday. Cecina made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Torino turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Cecina especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was Daniele Toscano (196-93, agency: Players Group) who scored 17 points. Power forward Devil Medizza (198-90) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Alessandro Chiotti (194-95) produced 9 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Gabriele Russano (180-95) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cecina maintains first position in B with 8-0 record. Loser Torino keeps the fifteenth place with seven games lost. Cecina will face league's second-placed Piacenza at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Torino will play against Rimini (#10) and hope to win that game.
