Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked La Roda (1-4) was rolled over on the road by top-ranked Quintanar (5-0) 71-51 on Saturday. The game without a history. Quintanar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Quintanar outrebounded La Roda 41-18 including a 27-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Artur Alaminos (205-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) who added 8 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Quintanar's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Blake Vedder (224-91, college: Kent St.) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Miguel Raez (200-79) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Quintanar have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 5-0 record. La Roda lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. Quintanar will face Alcazar (#5) on the road in the next round. La Roda will play against Villarrobledo (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
